Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Tofu

Start by draining the tofu and pressing it to remove excess water. Wrap the tofu in a clean kitchen towel or paper towels and place a heavy object on top for about 15-20 minutes. Once pressed, cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes.

Step 2: Blanch the Broccoli

In a pot of boiling water, blanch the broccoli florets for 1-2 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and immediately immerse them in ice water to stop the cooking process. This will help maintain their color and crunch.

Step 3: Stir-Fry the Tofu

Return the crispy tofu to the pan and add the blanched broccoli. Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Toss everything together gently to ensure the tofu and broccoli are well-coated in the sauce. If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix the cornstarch with a little water and add it to the pan, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens.

Step 6: Final Touches

Season the dish with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Step 7: Serve
